The China’s Foreign Aid Training Projects of “Mariculture and Aqua Feed Manufacturing & Disease Prevention Technology Training Course for Developing Countries of 2018” and “Mariculture Economic Shrimp Seedling and High-yield Technology Training Course for Developing Countries of 2018”, which organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and undertaken by Fujian Institute of Oceanography were held in Xiamen, China, on May 2018. More than 40 participants from over 10 countries which including Cambodia, Liberia, South Africa, Nigeria, Sudan, Uganda, Oman, Thailand, Mauritius and Tanzania have attended these two training courses. The vice president Dr. Zhang Song, deputy General Manager Mr. Zhang Taizhuo and Technology Supervisor Ms. Chen Lin from Nutriera Group were invited to give lectures to the participants.
During the training course of “Mariculture Economic Shrimp Seedling and High-yield Technology Training Course for Developing Countries of 2018” on 14th May, deputy General Manager of Nutriera Group Mr. Zhang Taizhuo gave instruction to the participants on the topic of《Artificial breeding and culture technology of freshwater prawn》, which mainly consisted of two parts. The first part was about the artificial breeding technology of Macrobrachium rosenbergii. Mr. Zhang Taizhuo explained the bloodstock breeding, larval development process and artificial seedling technology of Macrobrachium rosenbergii systematically. He also particularly introduced the population structure characteristics of Macrobrachium rosenbergii, the influencing factors of uneven male shrimp growth rate and the technical key points for selecting male prawn. The second part was the breeding technology of Macrobrachium rosenbergii. Mr. Zhang Taizhuo made a systematic introduction about the breeding history of Macrobrachium rosenbergii in China, the breeding mode of Macrobrachium rosenbergii in several main breeding regions and the product positioning of Macrobrachium rosenbergii feeds. During the questioning term, Mr. Zhang Taizhuo also answered the questions those raised by the participants from different countries. The questions were about the artificial seedling and breeding technology of Macrobrachium rosenbergii.
On 29th-30th of May, vice president of Nutriera Group Dr. Zhang Song was invited to give instruction to the participants of “Mariculture and Aqua Feed Manufacturing & Disease Prevention Technology Training Course for Developing Countries of 2018”. The course title was called Fish nutrition and manufacture. Dr. Zhang Song gave systematic and in-depth explanation on four major parts, which including the profile of the global and Chinese aqua feeds, fisheries nutrition, aqua feed processing and aqua feed feeding. The two-day courses were very wonderful. Not only theoretic but also combined with practical situations to provide the promotion and application plan of aqua feeds for developing countries. The teaching modes were rich and varied by the combination of playing video and sample display to make participants master the expertise in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
The technology supervisor of Nutriera Group Ms. Chen Lin introduced some common feed ingredients for the participants. She also explained how to use the microscopy technology to identify the quality of raw materials by showing lots of photos.
China’s Foreign Aid Training Project is the key part of the initiative and construction of President Xi’s “A community with a shared future for mankind” and “the Belt and Road”. Nutriera Group has been positively implementing the national strategies, helping “the Belt and Road” countries to develop aquaculture and making every effort to provide safety and healthy aquatic food for the whole world.
